Preparing for the Mediterranean
With years of campaigning ahead of it, Sea Shepherd’s newest ship, the Sea Eagle, is currently in its first dry dock since we took it over in November, allowing us to inspect everything under the waterline, including the hull and the ship’s dual propellers and shafts. The ship will serve primarily in the world’s most overfished sea – the Mediterranean.
Thankfully, we are not alone in this mission, as our friends at Allianz were the ones making this possible in the first place, completely funding the ship’s purchase and entry into the fleet.
Find out what the crew has to do to prepare the ship and what life is like in dry dock!
